Become an expert at navigating boundaries. Imagine navigating even the most difficult boundary situations with clarity and care, whether in your own relationships or your work with others.

That's the shift this course is designed to help you make. We’re often told that healthy boundaries are important. Far fewer of us are taught how to set and maintain them when we feel uncertain, responsible for others, pulled toward self-sacrifice, or afraid of creating conflict. Still others struggle because we’ve learned to protect ourselves in ways that make connection more difficult. This course introduces the Mindful Boundaries Method™, an original science-informed and practice-based approach to working with boundary challenges in everyday relationships, helping roles, at work, and in clinical contexts. Rather than relying on fixed rules, one-size-fits-all scripts, or simple “say no more often” advice, the method helps you understand boundaries as dynamic practices of care—for yourself, for others, and for the relationships and contexts that matter. Across three foundational modules, you’ll learn a flexible system for recognizing boundary challenges, clarifying what matters, and responding with greater discernment and effectiveness. You’ll explore the core principles of the Mindful Boundaries Method, along with a practical step-by-step process for moving beyond guilt, avoidance, over-explaining, and other patterns that can make boundaries harder to navigate. Rooted in years of research, teaching, and lived experience—and informed by key insights from Jordan Quaglia, PhD’s book, From Self-Care to We-Care: The New Science of Mindful Boundaries and Caring from an Undivided Heart—this course offers a more compassionate, flexible, and sustainable way to practice boundaries with clarity, skill, and resilience. The course also includes experiential practices and reflective integration with Clarissa Cigrand, PhD, LPC, designed to help you bring the material into everyday life and, where relevant, into helping, clinical, or professional contexts.

Module 1: Foundations of Healthy Boundaries

This opening module introduces what boundaries truly are, and why cultivating them from the inside out can be deeply transformative. You’ll explore the essential qualities of healthy boundaries, the distinction between inner and outer boundaries, and the foundational insight at the heart of this work.

Module 2: The Mindful Boundaries Method in Practice

We dive deep into the Mindful Boundaries Method™, with a practical focus on setting effective, care-based boundaries. Through step-by-step guidance and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to bring the method to life—grounding it in clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Module 3: Building Boundary Resilience

In this final module, we move beyond rules and surface strategies to explore the deeper dimensions of healthy boundaries. FAQs

➤ Can I receive continuing education credit for this course? Yes. 6 Home Study CE Credits with APA Provider Approval are available as an add-on at checkout for eligible mental health professionals. Review the learning objectives below and visit the CE information page for eligibility and requirements: http://www.jordanquaglia.com/ce-info Course Learning Objectives: • Identify common misconceptions about boundaries and describe how a mindful, relational approach differs from rigid or purely self-protective models. • Apply the Mindful Boundaries Method™ to clarify when a boundary may be needed and determine what form it should take. • Use the Mindful Boundaries Method core practices to formulate clear, caring, and context-sensitive boundary actions and communication. • Distinguish between steady commitment to a boundary and flexible strategies for maintaining or adapting it over time. • Apply boundary principles within therapeutic and other helping relationships while considering role clarity, ethical responsibilities, and the needs of all involved. ➤ What’s the expected time commitment for this course, and will I have ongoing access? The core course includes three in-depth modules, each with video/audio teachings, guided reflections, and supportive practices. Many people find that 2–4 hours total per module allows time to absorb, reflect, and apply the material. You can revisit the course at any time to go deeper.  The course is fully self-paced, so you can move through the modules on your own schedule. Some participants complete it in a week or two, and others take their time to integrate each lesson. There’s no rush, and the practices are designed to grow with you. First, you’ll develop a clearer and more complete understanding of what boundaries are and what they are meant to protect. Then, you’ll learn a practical framework for navigating real-life boundary challenges with greater clarity, care, and skill. Finally, you’ll build the resilience to keep practicing, even when guilt arises, circumstances change, or difficult conversations do not go perfectly. Each core lesson includes two videos: a teaching video with Jordan and a brief integration reflection with Dr. Clarissa Cigrand, designed to help you bring the material into everyday life—and, where relevant, into helping or clinical contexts. Your purchase includes ongoing access to the core course content, including future updates and additions, so you can return whenever you need a reset, reflection, or re-centering in your boundaries practice. ➤ Do I need to read From Self-Care to We-Care before taking this course? This course stands on its own. Although it’s related to Jordan’s book, From Self-Care to We-Care: The New Science of Mindful Boundaries and Caring from an Undivided Heart, it offers substantial original material and is designed to be fully self-contained. You don’t need to read the book to benefit from the course. That said, if you'd like to go deeper, the book is a valuable companion resource. It offers additional stories, scientific context, and practices that complement the course and can enrich your understanding. You can read it before, alongside, or after the course to further expand and integrate your learning. And if you're already reading the book, this course will help you bring the ideas to life in a more structured, practice-based way. ➤ Do I need any prior experience in mindfulness or psychology? Not at all. The course is designed to be fully accessible, even if you’ve never practiced mindfulness or taken a psychology course. All concepts are clearly explained, and you’ll be guided step-by-step through practices that are simple, grounded, and adaptable to your everyday life. If you're already familiar with these areas, the course will deepen and expand your understanding in fresh, practical ways. ➤ Is this course trauma-informed? This course is designed with a trauma-informed approach, though the focus is on healthy boundaries and not a substitute for trauma therapy. The practices are grounded in mindful awareness, choice, and pacing. You are always encouraged to engage with the material in a way that feels safe and supportive for your own process. We recommend consulting with a therapist, counselor, or trusted support person if you have questions or concerns about how to apply this work in your unique context. ➤ What kinds of boundary situations is this course designed to address? This course focuses on interpersonal boundaries in everyday to moderately challenging situations. It is designed for adult learners age 18 and older seeking education, reflection, and practical skill-building. Some boundary challenges involve greater complexity, risk, harm, or urgency than a self-guided course can appropriately address. The course is not a substitute for professional care, therapy, clinical supervision, legal guidance, crisis support, or other forms of support that may be needed. ➤ I’m worried that approaching boundaries in a care-based way will make me too soft or cause me to collapse my boundaries. How does the Mindful Boundaries Method address that? This is a common concern, and an important one. Many of us have been conditioned to believe that care and clarity are in conflict, or that being compassionate means giving up ground. But that’s not what care-based boundary work is about. The Mindful Boundaries Method helps you build boundaries that are firm and kind, clear and compassionate. It doesn’t ask you to soften your truth. It teaches you how to stand in your truth without hardening your heart. At the heart of this method is the understanding that true care always includes you. It helps you strengthen your ability to recognize, honor, and protect your needs from the inside out, so that your boundaries arise from clarity, not collapse or overcorrection. You’ll learn how to: • Hold your ground without losing connection • Speak your boundaries with confidence and clarity • Navigate guilt, fear, or people-pleasing patterns without falling into them • Cultivate a boundary practice that reflects you and your values ➤ I’ve previously worked on boundaries through a different lens or approach—will this course still be useful? Absolutely. Many participants find that the course complements related work and professional development beautifully. It offers fresh insights, frameworks, and practices that can bridge with existing understanding to better support personal healing, strengthen professional boundaries, and enhance your capacity to show up for others without burning out. For professionals, this course may also lay the foundation for future advanced trainings or continuing education. ➤ What is your refund policy? We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase—provided that no paid course lessons, worksheets, or other course materials have been accessed, streamed, or downloaded. Viewing the free preview does not affect refund eligibility. Once paid course content has been accessed, purchases become non-refundable.
